I started my 20-year career in retail and event floral design at a group of family-owned florist in Spring Lake, NJ before moving on to a busy, high-end boutique florist in Manhattan. For the past ten years I have been working in Fairfield County. Over the years I have created floral designs for large-scale corporate and industry events, for CEO’s, Senators, and celebrities, and even twice had my work featured in The Knot magazine. But my passion lies in the day-to-day joy of the retail floral business. I oversee pottery buying, our flowering plants, Christmas décor, and our giftware line. Most mornings I visit the flower market myself to hand select the best and most beautiful fresh cut flowers to offer our customers.
I have always been a nature lover. I started my first garden 7 years ago, following a budding interest in herbalism and permaculture. In 2013 I began working in the floral department of a local business where I fell in love with floral design and quickly began taking on special orders for weddings and events. Today I’m happy dipping my hands in various pots at The Gardener’s Center working in the Florist, Nursery, and Landscaping.
