Cyclamen- Cyclamen Persicum
These free flowering plants with decorative foliage are members of the primrose family and generally bloom in fall and winter. Cyclamens grow from a tuber and come in a wide variety of pinks, reds and whites. They are wonderful for holiday gift giving and table accents. Grow in bright light and keep soil evenly moist, never let dry out. Feed with a half strength blooming plant food at every watering fall through it’s blooming period. Remove faded flowers immediately to prevent seed formation, which shortens bloom time. Yellow leaves indicate too warm a room or that the plant was over watered.
